Local Realtors Give Back

Sudbury, MA, November 7, 2013— Each year the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) organizes a Holiday Meal Drive that raises funds to provide Thanksgiving meals to people in need. Participants can choose to make a monetary donation, fundraise, or form a team of fundraisers. Prudential Stephan Realtors formed an office team in 2012 and raised almost $5,000, which provided close to 300 turkeys for less fortunate families in our community. This feat made Prudential Stephan the third largest fundraiser in the Greater Boston Area.

The most generous and loyal 2012 supporters were invited to the GBFB “Chain of Giving” at their warehouse in Boston to take part in the annual tradition of unloading a shipment of turkeys, which officially kicks off the 2013 holiday season. Together, the loyal supporters form a human “chain” and unload one turkey at a time, passing hand to hand, from the GBFB loading dock to their freezers. Because Prudential Stephan Realtors raised so much money last Thanksgiving season, the office was invited to join Mayor Menino and many others in the “Chain of Giving” on November 7, 2013.
