Bear Spotted Near Featherland Park on Wednesday

A resident driving to work early that morning saw the bear near Concord Road

Remember the bear that was spotted on Marlboro Road recently? Well it may be in the area again.

According to resident JoAnne Topham, her husband, Greg, spotted a bear near Lower Featherland Park at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday while driving to work.

"It crossed in front of him," she said. "It was lumbering across the street. And we've seen bears before in Vermont, so he knows it was a bear."

JoAnne Topham said the bear was headed toward Newbridge Road, which is close to Marlboro Road.

Lt. Robert Grady of the Sudbury Police Department said they did not receive any calls Wednesday regarding a bear, but did say he wouldn't be surprised if it were the same one from earlier this month.
