Convicted Sudbury Terrorist Receives Award
Community Church of Boston honors Tarek Mehanna with the 36th annual Sacco & Vanzetti Social Justice Award.
Tarek Mehanna, the Sudbury native convicted of terrorist charges in 2011, was honored Sunday by the Community Church of Boston and received the Sacco & Vanzetti Social Justice Award.
According to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Mehanna once taught at Alhuda Academy in Worcester.
The award is named for immigrants convicted of murder in 1920.
