A few facts, figures and tidbits to end your workweek.

Friday: Brrrr...cold blast of air. Sun & clouds with temps only in the mid 30s for the day! North wind 10-20mph makes it feel colder.

Saturday: Cloudy skies with a few flurries and or snow showers. A coating is likely in spots. Those flurries switch to sprinkles by evening. Could be pockets of freezing drizzle inland. Temps spend much of the day in the 30s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy & milder! Perhaps a shower near day's end or in the evening. Highs from 48-51.

2. FUNDRAISING CONCERT: Head over to Danny's Place in Acton at 6 p.m. for a fundraising concert. Tickets at $5. Featuring The Bearded Wonder and opening guests Hudlin. The café will be selling its usual pizza, burgers, hot-dogs, corn dogs, mac & cheese, hot pockets, other goodies and drinks.

4. WHAT TO CELEBRATE TODAY: Today is Stay At Home Because You Are Well Day. According to Wellcat.com, the creators of this special day, the objective is to call in "well" to your work. It's as simple as that. Caution: We recommend you use extreme caution and good judgment. Following the concept of this day could get you a reprimand or cost you  your job. Participating in this day might not be the right thing for you to do. 

5. THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  1940 - Lucille Ball and Cuban musician Desi Arnaz were married. Lucy filed for divorce the day after their final TV show was filmed in 1960; 1968 - Diana Ross and The Supremes hit the #1 spot on the music charts with "Love Child". The somewhat controversial tune (for the times) stayed at the top for two weeks; 1971 - ABC-TV presented "Brian’s Song" as the "ABC Movie of the Week". The touching story was about Chicago Bears running back Brian Piccolo and his friendship with Gayle Sayers, who watched Brian die a tragic death. The movie got a rating of 32.9 and a 48 share. The theme song, "Brian’s Song", was performed by Michel Legrand; 1986 - Ivan Lendl became the first tennis player in the world to gain career earnings exceeding $10 million.
