2. BENEFIT FOR BUDDY DOG: Head over to Lyn Evans in Concord for a fun evening of shopping, raffles, silent auction, refreshments, and more from 5-8 p.m. all to benefit Buddy Dog Humane Society.

3. WINTER PARKING BAN IN EFFECT IN ACTON: Residents are reminded that a winter parking ban is in effect from Nov. 1, 2012 until April 1, 2013.

On-street parking is prohibited between the hours of 1 .a.m and 6 a.m.. Vehicles that are illegally parked will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense if they interfere with snow removal operations.

4. WHAT TO CELEBRATE TODAY: Today is Cook Something Bold Day. According to it's creator, Wellcat.com, Cook Something Bold Day is designed to encourage us to cook something bold and daring, that will fill up the house with warm, "homey" odors. It is celebrated in the month of November, as houses are closed up for the winter, and capture the cooking smells.
