How Can You Submit an Absentee Ballot for Election Day?

Unable to make it to the polls on March 31? Your voice can still be heard. But time is running out.

If you are hoping to submit an absentee ballot for next Monday's Election Day in Sudbury, you will have to do so by Friday at 5 p.m.

Registered voters who are unable to attend Election Day due to being out of town during polling hours, physical disability or religious belief can apply for an absentee ballot.

To do so, residents must print out the application at this link or visit the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and return it to receive an absentee ballot.

All ballots for this year's election bust be mailed or hand delivered to the Town Clerk's office by the time polls close on Election Day.

Among the contested races on this year's ballot are seats on the Board of Selectmen and School Committee.

In addition, there is one ballot question that asks residents to allow the town to be exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half in order to move forward with construction of a new police station if it is also approved at Town Meeting.
