Child-Parent/Dog Safety Program at Maynard Farmers' Market

The Maynard Farmers’ Market welcomes Dog Trainer &

Parent Educator Lisa Bert with the child/dog safety program, 'Be a Tree' from

Doggone Safe, a non-profit organization dedicated to dog-bite prevention

through education. Aimed at children 4-10 with their parents, this dynamic

program teaches children how to be safe around dogs including what to do if any

approaching dog (including their own) is too rambunctious or scary, how their

own actions can influence what a dog does, and how to look for signs to tell

them if a dog is safe or not safe to meet.  Note: no dogs are used in the presentation.
