Ecumenical Worship Service

Sunday, January 12

CARDINAL SEAN P. O'MALLEY WILL PREACH at

the Sudbury United Methodist Church on January 12 at 4 p.m. in

an ecumenical worship service to which all interested individuals are invited.

This marks the 50th anniversary of Richard Cardinal Cushing's historic visit

to Sudbury United Methodist Church on January 19, 1964. This was one of the

first ecumenical visits made by the archdiocese's episcopal leader during Vatican II.

A reception will  follow the service.

Rev. Joel Guillemette, pastor of the Sudbury United Methodist Church, and

Rev. Richard Erikson, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, who extended the

invitation, see the January 12th gathering as a time for Christians to take stock

of the progress made toward greater church unity.

The church is located at 251 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury on Route 27, just

east of the town center. It is handicap accessible with ample off street parking.

For more information call the church office at 978-443-4351.
