Worship Services at the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury

(EDITOR'S NOTE: The following was submitted by Donya Platt.)

Join us November 18th for worship at the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury. Dr. McIvor's sermon is "Living for the Promise" based on Mark 13.1-8. One of Jesus' disciples comments on the size and grandeur of the temple. Jesus replies, "Really? It will all be knocked down." (It was in fact all destroyed some 40 years later.)

In this text, Jesus is not optimistic about the future. Bad things are going to happen - war, natural disaster, famine. Yet these things are birthpangs. This should make us wonder about what is being born and when is the due date. We should also ask, how are we to live in the meantime? Presbyterian Church in Sudbury welcomes all.
