Haunted History at Goodnow Library

The Friends of the Goodnow Library “Sunday Afternoon
at the Goodnow” series will host a presentation on the Haunted History of New
England at 3:00 p.m. on October 20, 2013. 

Presented by Christopher Daley, this multimedia presentation melds historical fact with legend and myth to produce an interesting new look at
events that really happened and the stories of haunting that followed
them. 



The topics addressed include Mercy Brown “The Vampire” of Exeter, RI, The Cursed Freetown State Forest, The Haunted Hoosac Tunnel in Western Massachusetts, The Ghosts of the Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, The Ghosts of King Phillip’s War: Nine Men’s Misery, the Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire, Giles Corey and the Curse of Salem, Burial Hill in Plymouth and the John Alden House in Duxbury.



Christopher Daley is a history teacher in the Silver
Lake Regional School System in Kingston. 
He is a past Chairman of the Pembroke Historical Commission and the

president of the Pembroke Historical Society. He has been lecturing on

historical projects throughout New England for nearly 20 years.
