Peaceful Beginnings Preschool is starting it's second year of operation in Wayland which is owned and operated by myself Kathleen Sawyer. I have been working with children for the past 15 years as the Director and Lead Teacher of Little Dove. I have recently started my own program called Peaceful Beginnings. The program is located at Peace Luthern Church's Community Arts Building. This community Building is comprised of several different programs dedicated to the education of young children through the arts.
Peaceful Beginnings Preschool is a socialization program for children between the ages of 1.6 yrs. - 3 urs. of age. I believe that young children grow and learn through play. The goal is to provide an age appropriate curriculm that meets individual needs and promotes growth, encourages individuality, and fosters self-esteem. I achieve this by edicating the whole child, while placing a strong focus on all developmental areas (social, emotional, physical and intellectual).
Peaceful Beginnings is a three day program (Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays) from 9 - 12:30. The program follows the Wayland school calendar year, and is starting its second year of operation this September 2014. There are still a few openings for the coming year in which we will be holding Parent/ Child Tours to meet myself and view the newly designed preschool space.
