Restorative/Slow Flow Yoga

Taking time to relax deeply is essential to maintaining health and well-being. By sinking into a restorative practice you unravel the damaging effects of chronic stress such as headaches, fatigue, memory loss, poor digestion, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease.  Just to name a few!

Class will begin with gentle flowing movements to warm and prepare the body as well as the mind for deep relaxation.  We will then transition to a series of long held, passive postures (supported with lots of props) to release deeply held tension.  In doing so we access the body's natural state of rest and healing - the Relaxation Response - where blood pressure decreases and digestion and immunity improves.  Most importantly we quiet the mind, releasing its constant chatter, so that we can connect more fully, mind and body, here and now.  

You'll leave class relaxed and renewed with your batteries completely recharged!  You're going to love how you feel!
