Sudbury Womans Club hosts Hal Cutler speaking on Sudbury's 375th

Hal Cutler, a direct descendant of the Goodnow family of 1638 who were among the first Sudbury settlers, will be the Womans Club's speaker at their Thursday, February 20th, meeting at the Community Room of Sudbury's Goodnow Library as the town prepares its 375th celebration of its incorporation in 1639!  Hal's talk will be very interesting and includes a video presentation of numerous events and people in Sudbury's history.

Recently, the Sudbury Town Crier published an article featuring the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation's naming Hal,  a "Patriots Difference Maker" for his  17-year leadership of a group of volunteers from the Memorial Congregational Church in Sudbury. It stated that, as part of their Celebrate Volunteerism campaign, Hal was honored along with 14 other "difference makers" and received a $1,000 grant for Rosie's Place at the final game of the Patriots regular season on Dec. 29.    Hal and his wife, our President, Betsey, have led a team of volunteers from MCC to dedicate their time to Rosie's Place. Each month, he and  Betsey,  recruit 12 church members and their friends to serve dinner to over 150 women and their children in the Rosie's Place dining room. He has also coordinated food and clothing drives at his church to benefit children and families in need at Rosie's Place!!
