Sudbury Cheerleaders Seek Donations to Compete in Nationals

Group is trying to raise $7,500 for their trip to Florida on Dec. 14.

The Sudbury Division 13 Cheerleading team placed first at the New England Regional competition in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 23.

The winning 15-member team, consisting of seventh- and eighth-graders, advanced to the National American Youth Cheer (AYC) Championship competition in Florida on Dec. 14. 

The Sudbury Warriors will represent New England and their hometown, competing against nationally ranked cheerleading teams from all over the country. 

To offset the travel costs associated with the national competition, the team is reaching out to the community, families, and friends for help.

They are trying to raise $7,500, but have just $420 so far.
