Charity Games Scheduled for Scott Milley Foundation

Proceeds will benefit the Lt. Scott F. Milley Ranger Foundation and the Sudbury Military Family Support Network.

The second annual Warriors 4 Warriors/Patriots 4 Benefit Hockey Game will be held Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough.

The Lincoln-Sudbury boys hockey team will play host DCL/MVC 2 rival Concord-Carlisle. 

The game honors First Lt. Scott F. Milley, a Sudbury native and a former Lincoln-Sudbury hockey captain who died in combat in Afghanistan on Nov. 30, 2010 at the age of 23.

Players are raising funds by selling wristbands ($5) that will serve as tickets into the game. T-shirts are also being sold. A silent auction and theme basket raffle also are planned, with proceeds to benefit the Lt. Scott F. Milley Ranger Foundation, the Sudbury Military Family Support Network and the Military Family Support Group of Concord.

Last year's inaugural game raised more than $14,000.

The fourth annual Scott F. Milley Lacrosse Game is slated for Sunday, December 29.

The game is a round-robin style lacrosse game where players throw their sticks in the middle and play. Both a women's and men's games are scheduled for the local lacrosse community to participate in.

Games begin at 6 p.m. at the Sudbury Fieldhouse, 31 Union Ave. Cost is $20.
