Funeral Services for Michael Ronner to be Held Saturday at 10 A.M.

Sudbury United Methodist Church will hold the service for the Sudbury Marine; wake will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at Duckett Funeral Home.

According to the Duckett Funeral Home website, funeral services for Lance Corporal Michael J. Ronner, a Sudbury Marine who was found dead on May 7 on the base of Camp Pendleton in California, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at .

The funeral home will hold the wake on Friday from 4-8 p.m.

Ronner enlisted in the Marine Corps Jan. 11, 2010 and was assigned to 9th Communication Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif., according to a release from the Camp Pendleton Provost Marshal's Office.

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Ronner's mother, Linda Musgrave, who now lives in Medford, is a former administrator at .

His father, Jeff, still lives in Sudbury.

Ronner attended Indiana University and studied business, his father said.

While at L-S, he ran track and was on the ski team.

"He was a classy kid," Jeffrey Ronner said. "And I want people to treat him as so."

Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents are treating the death as a suicide, the North County Times reports.
