In 2012, Robert Casby, a lawyer for Sugarman and Sugurman P.C. in Boston, was included in the 2012 Massachusetts Super Lawyers after being ranked among the top 100 Super Lawyers in Massachusetts and New England.
Things haven't changed much in a year for the Sudbury resident.
The Boston-based personal injury law firm announced Casby again has been listed as one of the top 100 Super Lawyers, a list he's been on for more than a decade.
"I'm honored," Casby told Sudbury Patch. "It's given me great satisfaction to work here."
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
"It's been extraordinary to work in one place since 1982," Casby said. "It's been a privilege and a pleasure to work and try cases with some most extraordinary trial lawyers in New England."
Casby is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Attorneys. Other accomplishments include:
- Being elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates;
- Serving as President of the Massachusetts Chapter from 1998 - 2000;
- Being a frequent lecturer, locally and nationally, for the American Law Institute, American Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), the Massachusetts Bar Association and other industry trade organizations.
He joined Sugarman after graduating law school in 1982 and has been a principal of the firm since 1987.
