The meet kicked off with the 200 medley relay team of Jillian Rastinejad (back) Caroline Hultin (breast) Mirrah Papovsky (fly) and Caroline Goswami (free)  and placed 10th in a close race.

The 200 freestyle race had tough competition and Katherine O'Shea placed 4th and Michela Eckhouse and Emily Huang both swam and placed in the top 16.

The 200 IM was a very competitive race and freshman Courtney Brown placed 8th and Jillian Rastinejad also competed.

The 50 freestyle race was a hard fought one.  Ansley Baker came in third and Caroline Goswami, Jenny Genovese and Shannon Johnson all competed and swam well.

The 100 fly had some great swimmers and Michela Eckhouse was LS's best  and Mirrah Popovsky and freshman Olivia Brown competed in a close race.

The 100 freestyle race was a nailbiter.  Katherine O'Shea placed 2nd and Emily Huang, Caroline Thomas and Jenny Genovese all competed and placed well.

The grueling 500 freestyle race was made to look easy by freshman Courtney Brown who placed third.

The 200 freestyle relay was a battle with Westford and Wayland and the fast twitch team of Katherine O'Shea, Caroline Goswami, Courtney Brown and Ansley Baker battled and placed 2nd in a hard fought race.

The 100 back was again another very competitive race.  LS had Goswami and Rastinejad who swam well against very tough competition.  Freshman Caroline Kenney dropped time and sophomore Isabella Borg fought hard.

The 100 breaststroke was a highlight race for LS.  Ansley Baker was the winner and Captain Caroline Hultin dropped significant time and earned a spot on the state meet roster with her performance. Catherine Oppenheim and Eugenia Almondaz also swam a terrific race.

The final event was the 400 freestyle relay and the team of Michela Eckhouse, Courtney Brown, Ansley Baker and Katherine O'Shea swam their hearts out for a 4th place finish.

Many of these girls will go on to compete in the state meet at the MIT Pool on Saturday, February 15th, 2014.

Coach Ann Boudrot said " Our girls swam well for the most part not all swam their best times and they are gearing up for the state meet, I am very proud of their accomplishments."
