This Weeks News from the LS Girls Swim Team

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls swim and dive team racked up another victory over Newton South on Friday night, winning 103-73.

The L-S girls placed first and third in the first event of the night, the 200 yard medley relay. The winning team was comprised of Caroline Goswami, Ansley Baker, Courtney Brown and Jenny Genovese. The third place team consisted of Olivia Brown, Caroline Hultin, Caroline Kenney and Michelle Iskandar.

In the 200 freestyle Eckhouse finished in first, Kenney in third and Ackley in fifth.

Brown, Genovese and Johnson then placed first, third and fourth, respectively, in the 200 yard individual medley.

The girls then continued their domination in the 50 yard freestyle, finishing second, third and fourth.

Diving came next, in which the Warriors’ four female divers: Yang, Quirk, Rosseel and Ference managed to score 11 points for the Warriors’ cause.

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls dominated the 100 yard butterfly, in which Eckhouse came in first, Baker second and Huang third.

Thomas, Nevils, Neeser and Gao competed in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing in second, third and fifth.

Genovese, Rastinejad and Cinicola fought through the grueling 500 yard freestyle, managing to finish first, third and fifth.

In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the girls teams managed to finish first and third. The first placed team was composed of Thomas, Barrera, Goswami and Genovese. The third place team included Hultin, Huang, Iskandar and Nevils.

The meet continued with the 100 yard backstroke in which Goswami cruised to a first place finish, Borg came in second and Iskandar finished third.

The scoring had been stopped after the backstroke, but competitors in the next event, the 100 yard breastroke, were Baker, Brown, Hultin and Johnson.

The meet finished with the 400 yard freestyle relay in which the Warriors had four relay teams, racing to a solid victory by the women’s team.
