Lincoln-Sudbury girls lacrosse team begins quest for state title today.

1. SPORTS & RECREATION: MIAA girls lacrosse

The top-seeded L-S girls lacrosse team plays host to No. 9 Framingham in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 North Sectionals. Opening faceoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Lincoln-Sudbury.

2. ART & ENTERTAINMENT: Dance party and auction

There will be a dance party and auction to benefit 's June 2012 mission trip to Dominica. The community is invited to attend. It will be held at Slaters Smokin' BBQ Restaurant in Bolton, just over the Stow line, beginning at 8 p.m. The Mid-Life Crisis Band will play music for dancing and listening. Tickets are $20 per couple/$15 per individual in advance or $30 per couple/$25 per individual at the door. Call the church at 978-443-4351 to reserve your tickets ahead of time.

3. MUSIC: Spring concert at Lincoln-Sudbury

The Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra, conducted by Lincoln resident Pip Moss, will present its Spring Concert at 8 p.m. in the auditorium with works by Saint-Saens, Wieniawski and Dvorak as well as selected music for brass ensemble. Junior Meredith Derecho will be the student soloist. Tickets are available by donation at the door: adults $10; children & seniors $5.
