Dance company seeks local kid dancers.

1. THEATER: Auditions for Eclipse Dance Company

The Eclipse Dance Company is a competitive dance team for serious dancers under the direction of . Eclipse offers serious dancers a chance to hone their technique and performance skills in a rigorous and disciplined environment. Through competition and performances, dancers work toward a common goal and learn valuable lessons in teamwork, dedication, responsibility, and commitment.

The first round of auditions for the Eclipse Dance Company will be held on 7 p.m. by appointment.

Four dance teams are offered for next season:  

  • Mini-Clipz = grades 2-3
  • Lil Clipz I = grades 4-6 (limited openings)
  • Lil Clipz II = grades 5-7 (very limited openings)
  • Fierce = grades 8-10 (very limited openings) 

Each Dance Company requires specific classes in addition to two electives at the studio.  Additionally, each team competes at up to three competitions in spring 2013 and performs at a variety of venues throughout the year.

2. ART & ENTERTAINMENT: Milestones in the History of Military Aviation

Do you remember the Hellcat, Monoplane, the biplane or maybe the Piper Cub?  Neil Kaufman of Sudbury, an aviation buff and a builder of military plane replicas, will be at the to share his passion for aviation and history at 10 a.m. 

Many of his replicas will be on display and he will discuss the relevant history for each (representing World War I, the transition from WWI, World War II, and post WWII). Call the Senior Center to sign up for this presentation at 978-443-3055 or senior@sudbury.ma.us.

3. FAMILY: Pajama story time

Tonight there will be a pajama story time celebrating Dad with crafts provided by the Friends of the Library. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. at Goodnow Library. For families ages 3-103.

4. SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT: Women's softball

Need to exercise?  Want to have fun doing it? 

Join the Sudbury Women's Softball League. 

If you love to play softball, this is your league!  The games are played every Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at Feeley Field on Raymond Road in Sudbury.

There will be one or two practices before the start of the season.

Season ends on Aug 30. The cost is $80 for spring and summer or $50 each for both. All levels of play welcomed.
