2 Injured, Motorist Cited After Accident in Sudbury

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

A two-car accident on Maynard Road on Dec. 6 resulted in two people be transported to a local hospital.

According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, the accident happened in the vicinity of 394 Maynard Rd. just before 4 p.m.

Grady a car in the southbound lane crossed over into the northbound lane, striking an oncoming motorist head-on.

The injuries to the two people were considered non-life-threatening.

Sudbury police wound up citing one motorist for a marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

In other police news from Dec. 6:

  • A staff member at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School found an abandoned bag of marijuana outside the school. Grady said it was less than an ounce of marijuana. No one was charged or cited.
  • Sudbury police are investigating a shoplifting case from Rite Aid. An unidentified person allegedly stole multiple items valued at $70 each.
  • A Lincoln-Sudbury student reported his wallet was stolen at the school. The wallet contained cash, debit cards and his license.
