4-Town Chase Through Sudbury Ends in Arrest of Concord Woman

The following arrest information was provided by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle chase that began in Stow and ended in Concord on Nov. 6 resulted in the arrest of a Concord woman.

According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, officers in Stow attempted to pull over a motorist, and wound up following her through Maynard and Sudbury.

Sudbury officers noticed the car being surrounded by officers from the other two towns at Powdermill Road and North Road, and attempted to assist in stopping the motorist.

The driver wound up driving off again, striking two Maynard cruisers before being stopped in Concord on Rte 117.

Although Stow police made the arrest of Deborah Ormsby, 75, of 1 Concord Green, Apt. 6, Grady said Sudbury police will issue Ormsby a summons for multiple charges.

Those charges include:

  • Driving to endanger;
  • Failure to stop for police;
  • Leaving the scene of an accident with property damage;
  • Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (two counts, Maynard officers were in their cruisers when she allegedly struck them);
  • Wanton destruction of property (two counts);
  • Speeding.
She will face those charges in Framingham District Court.

The charges from Stow police will be brought in Concord District Court on Nov. 7.
