Berlin Man Arrested in Sudbury on Outstanding Warrant

A report of suspicious circumstances on Willis Lake Drive Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of a Berlin man.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, environmental police contacted Sudbury police at about 10:49 a.m. to inform them they were helping three people pull a snowmobile from the water.

Responding officers assisted with the situation and no injuries were reported.

Nix said the environmental officer conducted a background check on the individuals and one person was found to have warrants out for his arrest.

Anthony Gorgone, 44, of 80 Brook Lane, had warrants for unlicensed and uninsured operation a motor vehicle, and operating with a suspended license.

Gorgone was held over the weekend by Sudbury police and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Tuesday.

Friday

• A Willis Lake Drive resident reported someone recently stolen her medications. Responding officers were advised the resident was confused and nothing was stolen.
• A 911 caller reported seeing someone push a cart on Boston Post Road, causing a safety hazard. Responding officers were unable to local the person.
• A person walked in to the police department to report suspicious circumstances at a local jewelry shop. He claimed to have purchased a piece of jewelry he thought had a sapphire in it, but realized the sapphire was not there. He was advised it is a civil matter.
• A Jarman Road resident called to report his daughter, who was home alone, heard a loud bang and footsteps, and thought someone had gained entry into the home. Responding officers found nothing suspicious.

Saturday

• A repossession company alerted Sudbury police they were repossessing a car at a Boston Post Road residence.

Sunday

• Officers responded to Warren Road where two cars slid off the road. Neither car was damaged and no injuries reported.
• A caller reported seeing a young person riding an ATV up and down Blackmer Road. Responding officers located the ATV on the property of a residence. Officers advised the people at the home to discontinue the activity.

Monday

• Officers responded to Boston Post Road for a two-car accident. No injuries reported.
• Officers responded to the Water Department for a report of vandalism. Responding officers found graffitti was painted on a box.
