Car Catches Fire After Accident, Driver Faces OUI Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Sudbury man is facing an OUI charge after a one-car accident Wednesday afternoon.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, officers were dispatched to the area of 168 Horse Pond Road at about 7:07 p.m.

When officers arrived, the car was on fire. Officers looked to see if anyone was inside, but did not find anyone.

The driver of the car came forward to identify himself. Grady said after an investigation was completed, officers arrested Michael David Hamill, Jr., 24, of 136 Horse Pond Road.

He is charged with operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation.

Hamill was released at 11:17 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Thursday.
