Female Motorist Cited for First OUI Offense

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

A report of a one-car accident on Dutton Road on July 21 resulted in one person being cited.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, the responding officer found a car off the road at the scene.

A female motorist had visible injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

After the officer completed an investigation, the motorist was cited for operating under the influence of alcohol (first offense) and a marked lanes violation.

The motorist's name will not be released until after her arraignment.

In other police news from July 21, residents on Ford Road and Atkinson Lane reported someone drove on their lawns and caused minor damage.

The Atkinson Lane resident said it was a redish Jeep with a soft top.

"We're unsure if they are both related," Grady said. "We want to get to the bottom of it and get it stopped."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sudbury Police Department at 978-443-1042.
