Housebreak, Larceny Reported on Dutton Road

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

A Dutton Road resident who left his house at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday and returned just before 11:30 a.m. reported someone forced their way into the home and stole numerous items.

According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, someone allegedly gained entry through a locked door and stole numerous pieces of jewelry and other valuables.

The early estimate of the stolen items is in the thousands.

Grady said if anyone noticed anything suspicious in the 200-300 block of Dutton Road on Thursday to contact the department at 978-443-1042.

  • Officers responded to a two-car accident on Boston Post Road. Upon arriving it was discovered one motorist involved in the accident left the scene but was stopped by Wayland police. The driver refused to head back to the scene, so another Sudbury officer picked him up in Wayland and cited him. His license plate was left at the scene, and Grady said the motorist eventually admitted to being involved in the accident.
  • A Peakham Road resident reported a suspicious car in the driveway. Responding officers found the motorist ran out of gas and parked the car in the driveway while attempting to get gas. The responding officer assisted with getting the gas.
