Sudbury is home to two Level 2 sex offenders but zero Level 3 offenders are registered in town, according to the state Sex Offender Registry Board website.
The tally doesn't necessarily only mean the sex offenders live in town. It also takes into consideration if the offender works in Sudbury.
Massachusetts has three classification levels for sex offenders, Level 3 being for the most severe offenders.
Level 2 and 3 sex offenders pose a moderate or high risk of reoffense, respectively, according to the state.
For both levels, “the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a public safety interest is served by public availability of registration information,” according to the state.
