Lincoln Man Faces License Charge in Sudbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on Oct. 21 resulted in the arrest of a Lincoln resident.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol on Boston Post Road witnessed a motor vehicle traveling just before 11 p.m. The officer recognized the vehicle and had prior knowledge that the operator had a revoked license.

After running a plate check on his computer, the officer pulled over Matthew D. Preble, 20, of 56 Birchwood Lane.

Preble was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

He was released at 1 a.m. on Oct. 22 and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court later in the day.

In other police news from Oct. 21:

  • Police are seeking an individual wanted in connection with the cutting of a chain on a fence at Our Lady of Fatima.
  • A manager of a local business reported a person who was asked to leave the business left a threatening voice message. Grady said officers spoke with the person and told him to stop. No issues have been reported since.
  • A resident on Saxony Drive reported someone knocked on the door saying he was there to pick up some cabinets. The resident said he was not having work done. The person's vehicle was not found.
