Metal Urns Stolen from Boston Post Road Driveway

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The Sudbury Police Department is investigating an alleged larceny that happened on July 5.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, someone reported two metal urns that were being used as planters were stolen from the end of a driveway on Boston Post Road.

The suspects dumped the plants before taking the urns.

The value of the urns is estimated at more than $500.

In other police news from July 5:

  • An officer on patrol on Boston Post Road witnessed a school bus on the side of the road just after midnight. The bus had overheated.
  • An Evergreen Road resident reported seeing someone in her neighbors home. The neighbor said she knew the residents were away and didn't know who could be in the house. Responding officers checked the scene and discovered the residents had returned home early.
  • Officers responded to Concord Road for a report of a disturbance just before 6:30 a.m. A construction crew had begun work, but agreed to follow the town's by-law in regards to when construction can start.
  • Someone learning to ride a motorcycle crashed in the parking lot of Shaw's after hitting a curb. The rider was not injured.
