Despite a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service, parents and students had to work their way through 3 to 4 inches of snow this morning as both Sudbury Public Schools and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School opted not to use a snow day today.
The Sudbury Police Department reported nine accidents as of 9 a.m., along with some disabled motor vehicles and at least three buses that got stuck going up hills.
"It's not the worst I've ever seen but not the best, either," Lt. Robert Grady said. "The highway department had trouble getting out today."
The winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. with total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches expected.
Neighboring Marlborough Public Schools is closed for the day.
