Scenes from Public Safety Day at Sudbury Fire Department Headquarters

Local children were shown the insides of emergency vehicles and a car extrication demonstration.

Public Safety Day was held Oct. 6 at the Sudbury Fire Department headquarters on Hudson Road.

The day focused on teaching residents about the town's safety services in recognition of National Fire Prevention Month.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids and parents were able to learn safety tips from fire and police personnel, see emergency vehicles that were on display, and see a car extrication demonstration. Papa Gino’s provided free coloring sheets for kids and pizza.
