Sudbury Girl Lies Down Behind Car to Prevent Parents from Leaving

Sudbury parents on Old County Road needed assistance from the on Saturday night when their daughter interrupted their attempt on a night out.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, the department received a call at about 6:30 p.m. regarding a domestic problem.

When responding officers arrived at the Old County Road home, they found the couple's daughter lying down behind their car, preventing them from leaving. The parents told the officers their daughter didn't want them to leave and refused to move.

Nix said officers restored the peace and the parents were allowed to depart.

In other police news from this past weekend:

  • A Sudbury woman who recently broke up with her boyfriend asked the police department for help in returning his personal property. Officers arranged for a time for the ex-boyfriend to pick up his property outside her residence.
  • A day care center on Prides Crossing Road reported a swing chain was broken during the overnight hours.
  • A Bent Road resident returning home from vacation found a door window broken. Nix said no entry was gained.
