Sudbury Police Called to Lavender Over Disturbance

Argument between customer and owner being investigated.

A verbal argument Monday night between a customer and the owner of Lavender Asian Cuisine & Bar led to the Sudbury Police Department being called to assist with the disturbance.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, Lavender owner Tim Fong complained about an unwanted customer in his establishment and asked for assistance.

Grady said after officers arrived the dispute was resolved and the customer left on his own.

Grady said officers are still investigating the cause of the dispute.

No arrests were made.

Larry gets free drinks & food- hes not going to ruin a good thing!
Sudburytoo December 11, 2012 at 07:06 PM
Was everyone accounted for? No missing persons?
Christine Hogan December 11, 2012 at 07:18 PM
I am a bit confused: how many people were at Lavender when this situation occurred? If I recall correctly, when Mr. Fong and his lawyer sat before the BOS at the July 9th meeting he stated that he asked Mr. O'Brien and others the night of May 7th several times to leave, yet I do not believe he ever asked for assistance from the police in that matter. Were there so many more people at Lavender last night that Mr. Fong felt he could not handle the situation on his own? How many times did Mr. Fong ask this "unwanted customer"to leave before phoning police? What made this customer unwanted while the customers the night of May 4th who did not leave when asked did not deserve the same response? It just doesn't make sense.
joanne December 11, 2012 at 07:35 PM
I agree Christine- none of this makes sense! But what in Sudbury does make sense??
Sudbury Citizen December 11, 2012 at 07:46 PM
Christine, from what I heard it was one older gentleman who asked to order food at 10:14pm. Tim Fong told him the kitchen was closed. The man then said your kitchen must stay open while you are serving achohol. Tim Fong got upset with that statement and secrectly called the police and have him thrown out.

Just like the store My Passion Flower, we should all boycott Lavender. According to Joanne, the only customer that would be left is a freeloading Selectman.
pmotw December 11, 2012 at 08:34 PM
Rumor has it there will be another special election on the 25th to raise taxes to support funding of a new roof for Lavender.
Sudbury Citizen December 11, 2012 at 08:41 PM
pmotw, I heard the same thing. Lisa Gutch said the children that go to Lavender's are unsafe their because of the roof.
Sudburytoo December 11, 2012 at 08:47 PM
We should all support a new Lavender roof, after all, that is where the decision making for Sudbury happens.
Sudbury Citizen December 11, 2012 at 09:11 PM
It now all makes sense. 4 police officers to get 1 person. When Larry and his 10 friends were their Tim called the police who then called the Governor to call up the National Guard but they were not available. So Tim just let Larry stay as long as he wanted.

Just when Sudbury Patch looked like it was on the brink of finally shutting up with the gossip this breaking news gets plastered on the page. You would think the editor would report about the GOOD DEEDS going on right now but noooooooo------cha ching!
sudburycitizentoo December 11, 2012 at 09:22 PM
But when nobody wants to contribute then the editor has to publish something from the Channahon-Minooka Patch to fill the vacancies.....LOL!!!
Sudbury Citizen December 11, 2012 at 09:22 PM
sudburycitizentoo, I challenge you for every " good deed " i will name 5 bad ones. Let's get it on.
sudburycitizentoo December 11, 2012 at 09:25 PM

I can only guess who's brother in law was working last night at Lavenders
joanne December 12, 2012 at 12:39 AM
Tin Fong has zero credibility ! Remember Tim what you said to me.............. "I no care who have cancer young or old... you go to hell , you and all you useless women!" Karma is a Big fat B!
Sudbury Citizen December 12, 2012 at 04:22 AM
joanne, I am not following you. Please give a more detailed explanation on what happened with Tim Fomg. All of Sudbury should know what kind of person he is. More details please.
joanne December 12, 2012 at 02:31 PM
Just to clarify a previous statement- Two yrs ago a group of parents were asking for donations from local businesses. We were raising money for pediatric cancer. I had an information page with me, detailing what we were doing and who it would benefit. I visited many different stores/businesses. Some were very generous- others were not able to donate.Understandable! I went into Lavender and introduced myself to Tim Fong, expalined what we were doing and asked if he would be willing to donate a $20 gift card. he became IRATE! Told me he didnt care who had cancer, young or old! he wasnt going to give me any money. Told me I was a useless woman. I am leaving out the vulger obscene names he called me! I did apologize for taking up his time- he told me to get out! Needless to say I was mortified! After that I never stepped foot in that restaurant again. I want to point out, that I understand that with the economy that not everyone was able to donate goods or services. His language and behavior was completely outrageous. I reailize some may not believe what I am saying- I wouldnt believe it either had I not experienced it-
Sudbury Citizen December 12, 2012 at 03:14 PM
All of Sudbury, BOYCOTT LAVENDER'S, Lotus Blossum is much better anyway !!!!!!!
joanne December 12, 2012 at 03:26 PM
I am not asking people to boycott- however for me personally I refuse to do business with someone like that. I prefer Lotus- the food is wonderful- the staff is courteous and professional, and they are always willing to help out in the community-
Sudbury Citizen December 12, 2012 at 05:31 PM
Anthony, first you don't have any friends and second your brother in law was the one who over seved Beth Rust. Now let's hear your excuse to that.
Sudbury Citizen December 12, 2012 at 06:38 PM
Anthony J. Fortunato, clearly you have it all figured out. Go have a free drink with Larry at Lavender's with your brother serving you both.
SkimThreePercent December 12, 2012 at 07:00 PM
I believe that accepting gratuities in amounts exceeding $50 by public officials constitute a crime of public corruption. The public official who continuously accepts gratuties less than the threshold limit in each instance but over many months would be suspect. I'm not talking about the bar tender's brother, rather the public offical.
Robert Fucci (Editor) December 14, 2012 at 10:25 PM
If you want to repost that comment, Paul Gordon, do so with the vulgar tone.
Sudburytoo December 14, 2012 at 11:32 PM
Mr. Fucci, Thank you for taking down the comment. Mr. Paul Hoist Gordon, my children read your post and then I did as well. You really should get some counseling. You are not well. You owe the entire Sudbury community an apology. You are disgusting and inappropriate!
Roger Morris December 16, 2012 at 06:22 PM
Maybe Mr Fong has learned from past experiences and decided to call the police to protect himself and his business from unfair opinions and editorials...
Sam Based December 18, 2012 at 07:35 PM
Oh my the town of Sudbury is just oh so scandalous! You guys need to expand your horizon and care less about our boring little town, so what if the Selectman favors a certain restaurant because he gets free food and drink? Corruption happens at all levels of government, get over it.
siobhan hullinger December 18, 2012 at 07:49 PM
Sam Based - so at what level of corruption should people say "stop"? I don't believe ANY level should be acceptable AND most at least hide it from the general population. It's wrong to continue to manipulate a population just because..... We are so accustomed to this type of graft that we are now stipulating some is considered standard and customary. There ARE those that serve in local government who are honest, hard working and are offended by this behavior.
Sam Based December 18, 2012 at 07:59 PM
Alls i'm saying is local gov't is a joke and corruption in local gov't is even a bigger joke.
