Sudbury Police Department Creates Twitter Account

The Sudbury Police Department can now be found on Twitter: @Sudbury_Police.

"We intend to use Twitter along with other current means of communication we use to keep the community informed," Chief Scott Nix said in a release. "We caution that not all incidents will be in real time, but efforts will be made to utilize these tools. We also urge residents not to report crimes or other activity they wish to bring to the attention of the police via Twitter."

Residents are asked to continue to use 911 for emergencies and the business line of 978-443-1042 to report issues to the Sudbury Police Department.
