Waltham Man Arrested on Warrant in Sudbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on July 4 resulted in the arrest of a Waltham man.

At about 7:46 p.m., an officer on patrol on Boston Post Road ran a plate check on a motor vehicle being driven westbound.

After an investigation was completed, Ivan Vasquez-Lopez, 32, of 93 Bright St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with failure to appear upon recognizance.

The investigation also showed a warrant for his arrest for charges of:

  • Operating a motor vehicle without a license;
  • Operating a motor vehicle with a revoked or suspended registration;
  • Operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Vasquez-Lopez was released at 9:11 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on July 5.

In other news from July 4, the Sudbury Fire Department reported three people who attended the annual Fourth of July parade were treated for heat-related issues.

Two were transported to local hospitals, Fire Chief Bill Miles said.

Temperatures soared into the 90s before the parade started, with heat indices topping 100 degrees.
