Weekend Snowstorm Causes 2 Accidents in Sudbury

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Most motorists kept off the roads over the weekend as the season's first big snowstorm hit Sudbury.

Sudbury police were called to just two accidents, both occurring Saturday night and just minutes apart.

The first happened at 8:23 p.m. on Haynes Road. A car struck a utility pole and had to be towed from the scene, Sgt. James Espinosa said.

No injures were reported and the pole was not damaged.

The second accident happened at 8:29 p.m. on Boston Post Road. Officers responded to the call which at first was reported as a two-car accident having unknown injuries.

A person at the scene refused medical attention.

One car was towed from the scene.
