Board of Selectmen to Choose New Vice Chairman, Discuss Featherland Upgrades at Tuesday Meeting

Tuesday's meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Lower Town Hall.

The Board of Selectmen will get back to work on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Lower Town Hall, their first meeting since a contentious debate took place last month regarding the Finance Committee and the selection of Chuck Woodard as the board's new chairman.

Discussion was so heated between members during the chairman debate last month that a vice chairman was never chosen. That is the first agenda item scheduled for Tuesday night following opening remarks.

Selectmen will hold a public hearing at 8:30 p.m. to hear from the public regarding proposed improvements to Upper Featherland Field on Concord Road, including a possible agreement between the town and Lincoln-Sudbury Youth Baseball, which is paying for the improvements.

Later in the evening, board members will vote to approve the Town Manager's annual re-appointments that require approval by selectmen.

Board members will also be asked to approve several upcoming events, potentially approve a new Common Victualler License for Subway on Boston Post Road, and appoint a pair of new election workers.
