Members Sought for Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals

The local board seeks Associate and Earth Removal Board members.

Sudbury's Zoning Board of Appeals is accepting applications as it seeks three new members for the upcoming year.

The ZBA, which "makes decisions on applications for Variances and Special Permits under the Zoning Bylaw," according to the town website, is looking for volunteers to serve as Associate Members.

Associate Members serve as members of the Earth Removal Board, which provides earth removal permits for parties in town.

"Desired qualifications include having resided in Sudbury for a period of time, having served on another Town board, having an interest in zoning, and having engineering, architectural, or design expertise," according to the town website.

Any resident interested in taking part in the board can submit a volunteer application. The Board of Selectmen will make the decision on what members will be appoint to the ZBA.

Residents with additional questions can contact Sally Hild, Zoning Coordinator, at the Office of Planning and Community Development by telephone at (978) 639-3389 or by e-mail, hilds@sudbury.ma.us.
