Selectmen to Appoint New Committee Members at Tuesday Meeting

The regularly scheduled Board of Selectmen meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Lower Town Hall.

Among the agenda items for Tuesday night's Board of Selectmen meeting is the appointment of new members to the Conservation Committee and Sudbury Celebrates 375/Sudbury Day Committee.

After some administrative items, the first thing on the agenda for the meeting that begins at 7:30 p.m. inside Lower Town Hall is to interview three candidates and vote to approve the Town Manager appoint of Bruce Porter, Charles Russo and Mark Sevier for a one-year term on the Conservation Commission.

At about 8:20 p.m., selectmen are scheduled to speak with residents Robert Weiss, Susan Doherty, and Ron Riggert about the petition warrant articles they have supported for Town Meeting.

Selectmen will be asked to grant permission for the Annual Sudbury Spring Sprint Triathlon on May 18 and the Annual Tri Sprout's Children's Triathlon on May 17, subject to the group meeting requirements set by the town.

Later in the meeting, board members will be asked to approve the appointment of Venk Gopal and George L. Connor to the Sudbury Celebrates/Sudbury Day Committee, as requested by committee co-chair Hal Cutler.
