Special Town Election, Board of Selectmen Meeting Set for This Week

Tuesday's election pertains to the purchase of a fire truck and ambulance.

Residents will be asked to head to the polls on Tuesday, and as a result, it is a slower week of meetings.

Tuesday, residents will be asked the following question:

Shall the Town of Sudbury be allowed to assess an additional $685,000 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of purchasing an ambulance and a fire engine including the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto for the fiscal year beginning July first 2014?

The ballot includes simply a yes or no vote, and residents can head to their normal polling place to make their selection.

Aside from Tuesday's Special Election, there are only a pair of meetings this week. They are as follows.

Wednesday, June 18

  • The Board of Selectmen holds a Wednesday meeting due to the election. It is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. inside the Lower Level of Town Hall.
  • In the only other meeting scheduled for this week, the Design Review Board gathers in the Flynn Building on the second floor.
