Sudbury Residents Offered up to $3,000 Through Home Repair Grants

Money is available through the Sudbury Small Grants Program.

If you're looking to do some repairs on your Sudbury home in the near future, you may want to look into the Small Grants program before you get started.

The Sudbury Housing trust is currently accepting applications for the Small Grants program, which is designed to provided financial assistance to local residents making home repairs for health and safety reasons.

Money gained through the program can be used for a long list of things, including minor plumbing or electrical work, door repairs or replacements, cement work or masonry repair, painting, and many other items.

By applying for the grant, residents can receive up to $3,000 for repairs. To be eligible residents must have the primary residence be located in Sudbury, must plan to stay in Sudbury for the next 12 months, can't have income higher than the median income in the area, must have an assessed value lower than the median assessed value in the area, and the resident must let the Sudbury Housing Trust know before you list your house for sale.

Applications can be found on the town website or in person at the Senior Center. For more information, contact Program Administrator Elizabeth Rust.
