Town Meeting Voters Approve Medical Marijuana Bylaw

Voters weighed what was restrictive versus what was constructive.

Among the items passed by Sudbury residents during three nights of Annual Town Meeting was a bylaw regarding medical marijuana a few weeks before the town's moratorium was scheduled to run out.

Incoming selectman Pat Brown was the presenter of Article 38, which was brought before voters on Wednesday night during the third and final portion of Town Meeting.

The MetroWest Daily News reported that by approving the bylaw using a two-thirds vote, there will be four districts where medical marijuana could potentially be sold.

According to the MetroWest Daily News report, those districts are Union Avenue north of Station Road, to the south of Route 20 from the west of Landham Road to the Wayland border, in the Chiswick and Raytheon park off Route 20 at 33 Boston Post Road.
