Warren Up in Polls, Herald Endorses Brown: Who's Winning?

Who do you think has the momentum coming into these final days of the election campaign?

Democrat Elizabeth Warren is up by five points over incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown in the latest WBUR/MassINC poll of the U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts. That's a near-total reversal of the last WBUR poll, which on Oct. 9 (right after the first presidential debate) had Brown up by four points.

In fact, Warren has been trending upward in most recent polling. The New York Times' FiveThirtyEight blog has Warren up by four in an average of recent polls. The blog, which uses advanced statistical modeling akin to baseball sabermetrics (think Moneyball) gives Warren an 89 percent chance of winning the election.

But Brown's got some significant energy on his side as well. He's been barnstorming the state with political luminaries like Sen. John McCain and today won the Boston Herald's endorsement.

So what do you think? Who has the momentum coming into the final two weeks of the election? Do the polls in liberal-leaning Massachusetts mean anything to you, or will Brown's high-profile support sway the electorate? Give us your prediction in the comments below!

Actually Sonny, he is heading to Cancun, But I don't have a dog in this fight, It's got nothing to do with me. I just wanted to let you know it's true. Time for me to get back to work. Enjoy the rest of the day.

This is so well said. The voters of this state as just too passive. Under Deval Patrick even my registration costs are sky high. What does this man do with all the money he gets from this state? What does our democratic congress do with it? How does NH get by with so much less? I am done voting for dems. Enough.

Warren would literally become the nanny of the nanny state... pushing more burdensome regulations, more useless bureaucracies, higher taxes, mushrooming spending... and all the while telling us in a shrill voice why it is in our best interest. Everything in her background and experience point to this. Reverend E. Raleigh Pimperton III

Those of you who intend to vote for Romney and/or Brown, keep in mind that you will be supporting the following policies - regaradless of whether R or B claim that they favor them: 1. All abortions will be illegal, even for rape and incest. 2. Birth control will be very difficult to obtain. 3. Social Security will be turned into a voucher program. 4. Medicare will have much less money, so more costs will be paid out of pocket. 5. The rich (especially the super-rich) will get much richer; the poor will get poorer. 6. The military will be bloated, far beyond our actual defense requirements. 7. More teachers, police, firefighters, and other government employees will lose their jobs. 8. The private sector will not create more jobs, because the middle class will not have the wherewithal to buy their products and services. 9. There will be another recession, even worse than the one begun by the last Republican President. 10.The rest of the world - including all our allies - will perceive us as absolutely nuts.

Don, Please check your medications. They are completely out of whack. You may remember when this happened before... but then again, maybe not. Reverend E. Raleigh Pimperton III

Martha Coakley lost due to her own incompetent campaign. Warren will win unless she makes a big gaffe in the final week. Brown supporters shouldn't give up hope, they just need a lot of luck

And our favorite American Indian won't make any mistakes ? She probably will check the wrong box on election day!

Hey Walt and Sonny, Pick up the phone and call each other

@earnhardt-brown left out this part: Boston Globe, May 1: Travelers won most of what it wanted from the Supreme Court, and in doing so Warren helped preserve an element of bankruptcy law that ensured that victims of large-scale corporate malfeasance would have a better chance of getting compensated, even when the responsible companies go bankrupt. After she left the case the lower courts screwed the victims.
Jeff Baron October 29, 2012 at 09:24 PM
I hope Warren has a similar reaction to you. She'll lose by double digits with a response like this...
Michael d October 29, 2012 at 09:26 PM
So you want a hallucinatory guy who claims he meets secretly with kings and queens? (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0612/77697.html) No thanks, I'll take someone who works for us rather then himself.

Did she make $350K working for you, Elizabeth Warren is a Fraud and a Hypocrite

Michael d, Who wrote the article, Mike Barnacle?
Jeff Baron October 29, 2012 at 09:52 PM
Keep talkin. Perfect material. Hope the Prof says similar stuff so she loses even bigger!!!

Sonny, Of course, you are correct. Chief Sitting Bull did not need utter a word, and Professor Warren doesn't either. Harvard chose her based on her stoic courage as a disadvantaged Native American. It has served her well. Reverend E. Raleigh Pimperton III
Jeff Baron October 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM
She announced she agreed with Sen. Brown about cancelling. First time I can recall agreeing with anything she's done. Too bad for her that it was Scott's idea!
x October 29, 2012 at 11:28 PM
Why aren't her Harvard hiring records available to us? Why did she check the boxes, when she did? Reverend E. Raleigh Pimperton III
Stephen Stein October 29, 2012 at 11:34 PM
"Harvard chose her based on her stoic courage as a disadvantaged Native American." That's a lie.
Gone4Now October 30, 2012 at 12:20 AM
Why??? Because, Elizabeth Warren is a Fraud and a Hypocrite
x October 30, 2012 at 12:57 AM
Your Father's credentials were issued by a higher authority. Obama and/or Warren might well win... but if not, have you selected your country of emmigration? France is pretty nice and probably feels a lot like Massachusetts. Reverend E. Raleigh Pimperton III
Alice H October 30, 2012 at 12:49 PM
I hope you are the first to go. But France is too liberal for you--do you really want their universal health care and social services system? May I suggest something like the Ukraine for you?

they have begun trying to lower http://www.coachoutletmls.com expectations.Consolidated Edison, for example, tucked an especially http://www.hemesbelscq.com dire note into a news release on Thursday afternoon. It said the http://www.coachfactoryoutletion.com “vast majority” of its customers in New York City http://www.coachoutletonlinehl.net and the northern suburbs should have power by Nov. 11, http://www.coachoutletonlineef.org but a significant number could remain in the dark for http://www.coachoutletuso.net a week or more beyond that.John Miksad, the company’s senior

It's sad to see that she is up in the polls it's kind of like seeing a girl dump a really good guy in order to back to the guy she dated before who abused her.
