Babe Ruth's House Finally Has a New Owner

'Home Run Farm' sold in October for $1.22 million.

For the casual person, it's known as 558 Dutton Road in Sudbury.

For the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees or baseball fanatic in general, it's known as The House Ruth Lived In ... and it's just been sold again.

According to Zillow.com the Sudbury home where Hall of Famer Babe Ruth lived for five years – dubbed "Home Run Farm" – has a new owner.

Zillow shows the historic home went for $1.22 million in October.

Ruth, also know as The Great Bambino, lived in the 5,200 sq. ft., five-bed, 3.5-bathhouse from 1922-1926 while he was playing for the Yankees.

The seller of the home, Dennis Gavin, who lived there for 29 years, put the home on the market in 2012 for $1.65 million.

Gavin told TMZ.com the new owner is a baseball fan.

The house sits on a 2-acre lot and boasts:

  • Gourmet chef's kitchen;
  • Family room with coffered ceilings;
  • Rumford hearth;
  • Built-in cabinetry and surround sound;
  • Stone patios;
  • Gunite pool;
  • Barn with many uses.
