Buddy Dog Humane Society Purchases 9.5-Acre Lot in Sudbury
The local pet shelter recently closed on a lot on Wayside Inn Road.
Buddy Dog Humane Society has purchased a lot in the history Wayside Inn Road neighborhood.
According to Realtor Lois Krasilovsky, who listed the 150 Wayside Inn Road property, the Society closed on the 9 1/2-acre parcel of land on Aug. 13 for $800,000.
Krasilovsky did not know what Buddy Dog had planned for the land.
"There's nothing on file that Buddy Dog is seeking some kind of permit," Sudbury Planning & Zoning Coordinator Sally Purrington Hild said.
No one at Buddy Dog was authorized to comment on the deal.
According to the listing, the lot is measured at 9.53 acres and "set in the shadows of the historic Wayside Inn." The land can support a six-bedroom septic system. Approved landscape design includes a driveway bridge that crosses over 2 future ponds.
Taxes on the property in 2012 were $11,331.
The lot last sold on April 10, 2012, for $875,000.
