DISCUSSION: What Advice Would You Give Incoming Freshmen?

We all remember what it was like back in the day, so what would you offer for advice to 9th-graders this year?

There's peer pressure all around them.

Not to mention the homework, athletic practices, band practices, dress rehearsals, and ... dating!

Being a freshman has never been easy. Most, if not all, of us have been there and done that.

So if you could offer incoming freshmen advice as they begin their trek through high school, what would it be?

Be yourself, not what others want you to be. Study hard, but don't forget to take time to look around at what is going on around you. Never forget your old friends, make new ones, and save some room for some in the future. Enjoy it, you'll be wishing you could go back someday.
