DOCUMENT: SPS Settled With Janice Donahue for More Than $37,500

The former Noyes first-grade teacher was also paid for the remainder of the full 2011-12 school year.

Sudbury Patch has learned former Noyes first-grade teacher Janice Donahue received $37,500, plus what she was owed for the remainder of the 2011-12 school year, in a settlement with Sudbury Public Schools over her dismissal last May.

According to the pdf that was forwarded to Sudbury Patch, Donahue waived her right to bring any claim for age discrimination and that she received compensation that she would not otherwise be entitled to receive.

The agreement also states that Donahue voluntarily signed off on the settlement.

Donahue was dismissed from her job in May for reasons she says haven't been discussed.

Superintendent Anne Wilson filed a 51A report to the Department of Children and Services regarding a scuffle between two students that Donahue broke up. DCF responded by stating there was no proof Donahue physical abused those children.
