L-S Superintendent Carpenter A Finalist for Cape Cod Post

Scott Carpenter was recently a finalist in Harvard, but took his name out of contention after the school committee decided to keep looking.

Lincoln-Sudbury Superintendent/Principal Scott Carpenter may be on the move again.

According to the Cape Cod Chronicle, Carpenter is among four finalists to be the next superintendent of the Monomoy Regional School District.

Carpenter was recently a finalist for the same post in Harvard, but withdrew his name from contention when two of the three finalists pulled out, and the school committee decided it needed to interview more candidates.

According to the Chronicle's report, interviews with the finalists are scheduled for March 18-20.

The other finalists are:

  • Joy A. Blackwood, the assistant superintendent of Silver Lake Regional in Kingston;
  • Sean M. Gilrein, the superintendent of the Dudley Charlton regional district;
  • Elise M. Frangos, the director of curriculum and instruction at Old Rochester Regional in Mattapoisett.

The Monomoy Regional School District is comprised of:

  • Chatham High School
  • Harwich High School
  • Chatham Middle School
  • Harwich Middle School
  • Chatham Elementary School
  • Harwich Elementary School.
