LSRHS Solar Canopy Renderings to be Presented Tuesday

The hearing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. prior to the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee meeting on Tuesday night.

Sudbury residents are asked to attend a public hearing on Tuesday night that will feature discussion on a proposed solar canopy project that would be built in the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School main parking lot.

The session will take place inside the school library on Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.

During the meeting, site plan drawings and a visual rendering of the project from Lincoln Road will be shown to the community, according to Lincoln-Sudbury School District Committee Chairman Radha Gargeya.

Residents have had the opportunity to view the designs since they were initially made available through the Superintendent of Schools' office on March 3.

Anyone who would like to learn more about the project or offer their opinions or input is encouraged to attend Tuesday night's meeting.

Will the parking fees for the students, teachers and staff be reduced since these solar panels will reduce the need for snow plowing?

pmotw, The teachers and staff do not have to pay for parking. It is only the students that need to pay. Another freebie for the teachers and staff at a cost to the tax payer.

Is there a reason these panels should not be installed on the schools roof?
